Connecting to the production WiFi using an Apple PC.



APPLE COMPUTERS FOR FORDHAM FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS: FORDHAM-S LOGIN

 


 For this process, you must have administrative ability to make changes to your computer.
 

  1. Connect to Connect-Fordham-WiFi. 
  2. Open your browser (do not use any other browser during this process) and navigate to a URL that refreshes its content often (i.e., NPR.org or CNN.com. Avoid sites that may be cached on your device, such as Apple.com, Google.com, or Fordham.edu). You will automatically be directed to the Fordham network welcome page. Select to join as a Student | Faculty | Staff.
  3. You will be directed to new website. Select Join Now when prompted.
  4. A small file will be downloaded to your computer; it enables your device to automatically connect to Fordham-S, the secure WiFi network. Once downloaded, open and run the application called WiFi-Fordham-University-Wrapper.
  5. Enter your AccessIT ID credentials on the SecureW2 Join Now window.
  6. If prompted, enter your computer password in order to continue installing required certificates and policy key on your computer. The policy key ensures your computer meets our compliance standards (i.e., it makes sure the operating system and antivirus are up to date).
  7. Continue following the prompts in order to complete installation. 
  8. Upon successful configuration, the wizard will display "Joined". Select Done.
  9. Your default browser will open and will be re-directed to www.fordham.edu. You should now be able to browse the Internet.

*If you have trouble using the network, check your settings to verify that you are connected to the secure WiFi network, Fordham-S.

This entire process only has to be performed once. You will only be asked to enter your Fordham credentials if your AccessIT ID and password changes.
