Connecting to the production WiFi using an android device.



Android WiFi Access for Faculty, Staff and Students

 
 Secure Network: Fordham-S login (access available to Fordham faculty, staff, and students)

  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  2. Select Connect-Fordham-WiFi.
  3. Open your web browser and navigate to a URL that refreshes its content often (i.e., NPR.org or CNN.com. Avoid sites that may be cached on your device, such as Apple.com, Google.com, or Fordham.edu). You will automatically be directed to the Fordham network welcome page. Select to join as a Student | Faculty | Staff.
  4. You will be re-directed to a new page where you will be asked to download and install an app. Click on the Download button.
  5. You will be directed to the Google Play Store.Click on Install.
  6. Click on Accept.
  7. Once downloaded, click on Open.
  8. You will be prompted to enter your AccessIT ID credentials. Then click Continue
  9. Your device will then be configured to connect to the Fordham-S network. Once completed, click on Done.
  10. Your default browser will open and you will be redirected to www.fordham.edu. You should now be able to browse the internet.

 

*If you have trouble using the network, check your settings to verify that you are connected to the secure WiFi network, Fordham-S.

This entire process only has to be performed once. You will only be asked to enter your Fordham credentials if your AccessIT ID and password changes.
